Rename a topic

Step-by-step instructions on how to rename a topic

This article describes how you can rename a topic in your bizExaminer authoring environment.

Summary

In your list of topics, you can rename a topic anytime. This is particularly useful when you copy a topic to reuse its internal structure of questions or even folders. The duplicate topic shows the name of the original topic and you can rename it as required.

Find the topic location

  1. Sign in to bizExaminer.
  2. Switch into the ‘author’ role using the role-switcher in the top left corner of the screen.

The roles depend on your subscription plan for bizExaminer. There are cases when you may not see this option to switch to different roles and you directly see the author role for the authoring environment. If you have more questions, please contact your account administrator.

  1. In the sidebar, select ‘Questions’ or ‘Exams and Exam modules’.
  2. The list of topics and subtopics appear in a hierarchical structure.

Rename a topic

  1. Locate the topic that you want to rename.
  2. Click on the context-menu icon that is available immediately to the right side of this topic name. A few options appear in the context menu for actions or tasks for this topic.
  3. Select ‘Rename topic’.
  4. The topic name is editable now. Change the topic name.
  5. The topic shows the new name now.
