Step-by-step instructions on how to delete a topic and its questions

Summary

You can delete a topic anytime, even when it contains internal folders and exams or questions. When you delete a topic, the exams and questions are removed and you cannot edit these or take any other actions on the deleted exams or questions. However, deleted questions are still part of the exams that the participants have already taken and are used in the evaluation reports and elsewhere where required. The deleted questions are not part of any upcoming exams schedule.

Open the topics

  1. Sign in to bizExaminer.
  2. Switch into the ‘author’ role using the role-switcher in the top right corner of the screen.

The roles depend on your subscription plan for bizExaminer. There are cases when you may not see this option to switch to different roles and you directly see the author role for the authoring environment. If you have more questions, please contact your account administrator.

  1.  In the sidebar, select ‘Questions’ or ‘Exams and Exam modules’.

Delete a topic

  1. Locate the target topic.
  2. Click on the context-menu icon that is available immediately to the right side of this topic name. A few options appear in the context menu for actions or tasks for this topic.
  3. Click on ‘Delete’.
  4. Click on ‘Yes’ to confirm deletion.

Note: You cannot delete a root topic if one or more of the subtopics are protected.
